Objectives and results of the action
The Specific Objectives of the project are:
SO1: Facilitate vertical and horizontal multi-level governance cooperation in eleven (11) European countries, to better link up efforts of EU, national, regional and local authorities in integrated sustainable energy and climate policy planning and implementation.
SO2: Identify strategic policy priorities at a national level, foster multi-level governance to capitalise on synergies and economies of scale for implementing energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RE) actions.

SO3: Capacity building at a local/regional level to enable integrated sustainable energy and climate policy planning for meeting ambitious targets for 2050 and “supporting efforts [of the Paris Agreement] to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels”.
SO4: Develop at least 116 sustainable energy and climate policy action plans for 2050 at the local and regional level to decarbonise the energy system and make it climate resilient.
SO5: Develop at least 105 funding proposals for implementing sustainable energy and climate actions/projects.
SO6: Targeted promotion of the concept of carbon neutrality to at least 50,000 relevant stakeholders across Europe (more than 12,000 authorities and energy agencies through ICLEI EURO & FEDARENE Networks) to replicate the project outputs in other regions.
SO7: Support EU policies and initiatives, such as the Global Covenant of Mayors on Energy and Climate, by learning from frontrunners and disseminating best practices across Europe.

CTRACK 50 will empower local and regional authorities to develop, finance and implement ambitious sustainable energy and climate resilient plans and actions, putting emphasis on fostering local integrated energy, transport mobility and land-use planning, as well as multi-level governance.

The services provided, and key outputs of the project include the following:
•Development of at least 116 sustainable energy and climate policy action plans for 2050 at the local and regional level;
•Capacity building at local/regional level through workshops, webinars, info days and conferences;
•Targeted promotion of the concept of carbon neutrality to at least 50,000 relevant stakeholders across Europe.

Ο Δήμος μας συμμετέχει ως επικεφαλής οργανισμός (Leader) στο πρόγραμμα BAS (Benefit As you Save). Το πρόγραμμα BAS ανήκει στο χρηματοδοτικό εργαλείο Interreg.

Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η ενίσχυση της συμμετοχής των πολιτών σε διαδικασίες ανακύκλωσης μέσω της εφαρμογής ανταποδοτικών συστημάτων "ανακυκλώνω - κερδίζω". Το πρόγραμμα είναι ύψους 1.450.000 Ευρώ και συμμετέχουν οι Δήμοι Ν. Φιλαδέλφειας, Χαλκηδόνας, Λεμεσού, Τυράννων, Σόφιας το Τεχνικό επιμελητήριο της Αλβανίας και το Πανεπιστήμιο της Οχρίδας FYROM.

Χαρακτηριστικά

Η εναρκτήρια συνάντηση του έργου: «ΕΝΙΣΧΥΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΣΥΜΜΕΤΟΧΗΣ ΤΩΝ ΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΣΕ ΔΙΑΔΙΚΑΣΙΕΣ ΑΝΑΚΥΚΛΩΣΗΣ ΜΕΣΩ ΤΗΣ ΕΦΑΡΜΟΓΗΣ ΑΝΤΑΠΟΔΟΤΙΚΩΝ ΣΥΣΤΗΜΑΤΩΝ» “Benefit As you Save – BAS” στο πλαίσιο του INTERREG – BalkanMed 2014-2020μ, έγινε την Πέμπτη 18 Ιανουαρίου στις 10.00 π.μ. στην αίθουσα του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου (Λεωφόρος Κ. Καραμανλή 18, 16673, Βούλα).

Στη συνάντηση παρουσιάστηκε το ομώνυμο έργο το οποίο ξεκίνησε την 1η Δεκεμβρίου 2017, με πρωτοβουλία του Δήμου Βάρης Βούλας Βουλιαγμένης, ο οποίος συμμετέχει ως επικεφαλής (leader) και έχει διάρκεια 2 έτη. Στόχος του έργου είναι η ενίσχυση της συμμετοχής των πολιτών στα συστήματα ανακύκλωσης απορριμμάτων σε σημαντικούς αστικούς Δήμους των Βαλκανίων και της Μεσογείου
Συμμετέχουν, εκτός από τον Δήμο Βάρη Βούλας Βουλιαγμένης, ο Δήμος Ν. Φιλαδέλφειας – Ν. Χαλκηδόνας, ο Δήμος Λεμεσού Κύπρου, ο Δήμος Σόφιας Βουλγαρίας, ο Δήμος Τιράνων Αλβανίας, το Περιβαλλοντικό Κέντρο Ανάπτυξης, Εκπαίδευσης και Δικτύωσης Αλβανίας και το Πανεπιστήμιο Αγίου Κλήμη Οχρίδας – Πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβική Δημοκρατία της Μακεδονίας.

Παρόντες στη συνάντηση ήταν αντιπροσωπείες όλων των εταίρων ενώ την εκδήλωση χαιρέτησε ο Δήμαρχος Βάρης Βούλας Βουλιαγμένης, κ. Objectives and results of the action The ultimate goal of the action is to institute direct incentives to citizens according to their contribution to waste separate selection at source. Thus, action plans will be developed in each partner area based on a common methodology, defining the process of separate selection and collection, the way of citizens participation, the type of benefits and the way these will be returned to citizens.

Action plans will be pilot implemented to evaluate and to measure the results and incorporate them to local strategies for an effective solid waste management.

A 20% increase of recycle percentage and enhancement of environmental awareness are expected. The main outputs are the local action plans and practices based on "Benefit As You Save" (BAS) systems and a networking platform firstly among the partner areas, with the view to be enlarged with new stakeholders since BAS practices will meet widely acceptance.

Objectives and results of the action
PLURAL aims to design validate and demonstrate a palette of versatile, adaptable, scalable, off-site prefabricated plug and play facades accounting for user needs (“Plug-and-Use” kits).

Three different core systems are assessed, coupling heatingcooling, ventilation, heat harvesting systems with smart windows, 3D printing, low carbon footprint and nano-enabled coating materials to reduce the building total primary energy consumption to less than 60 kWh/m2 per year and ensure on-site renewable energy generation to more than 50 kWh/m2

Objectives and results of the action
Seven major municipalities in the Athens Metropolitan Area join efforts to launch showcase energy efficiency andrenewable energy projects, utilizing innovative financial tools and attracting private investments.

The projects comprise energy efficiency interventions in 116 municipal buildings, integration of a total 3.2 MWof photovoltaics on the roofs of these buildings and re-lamping for the municipal lighting.

Total energy savings is45.6 GWh/y and renewable electricity production is 4.8 GWh/y. Total cost for interventions is 20.24 M€.

Free Wi-Fi for Europeans The European Commission wishes to promote free Wi-Fi connectivity for citizens and visitors in public spaces such as parks, squares, public building, libraries, health centres, and museums everywhere in Europe through WiFi4EU. The budget of the WiFi4EU initiative is EUR 120 million between 2018 and 2020. It  supported the installation of state-of-the-art Wi-Fi equipment in the centres of community life.

Objectives and results of the action
The objective of this street action, which took place in 22/9/2018 during the European Mobility Week 2018, was to encourage citizens to use bicycle as an alternative and more environmental friendly mode of transportation. Another objective was to encourage citizens to use the bicycle sharing system developed in four Municipalities with the aid of National Bank of Greece.
The role of the applicant (City of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni) is to co-organise the event, including to promote it to citizens of the city through social/electronic and local printed media, to carry out administrative tasks and to ensure the safety of the participants and audience. At the end of the event a concert with famous singers was held.
Results: More than 500 people participated, and more than 2500 citizens attended the event.

Objectives and results of the action
A strategic plan will be designed to satisfy the mobility needs of people and businesses in the city for a better quality of life. It will be built on existing planning practices and takes due consideration of integration, participation, and evaluation principles. It aims to create an urban transport system by addressing – as a minimum – the following objectives:
Ensure all citizens are offered transport options that enable access to key destinations and services;
Improve safety and security;
Reduce air and noise pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption;
Improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the transportation of persons and goods;
Contribute to enhancing the attractiveness and quality of the urban environment and urban design for the benefits of citizens, the economy and society as a whole.
