ΜΙΝΑΥΡΑ 2**

sights

Built on a prized location along the Athens Riviera, Minavra Hotel welcomes you to its charming environment, promising you a comfortable and pleasant stay just a breath away from the beach. Easily accessible, only 500 meters from the cosmopolitan area of Glyfada but also 30 minutes away from the center of Athens city, Minavra Hotel offers its guests an authentically Greek hospitality experience.

Our hotel name has been inspired by our ancient heritage; it is linked to our desire to show you a different side of Athens, as well as to our culture that has its roots centuries back. Minavra was the patron goddess of Athens, Athena, as she was called in the ancient local dialect of Eressos in Lesvos island. Minavra was also an important port in Ancient Eressos on Lesvos island, and constituted a place of nautical refuge for the seafaring journeys to and from Athens. Being an allied port of ancient Athens, it was a significant commercial and cultural marine passage connecting the two locations.

Similarly, Minavra Hotel aspires to be a port of call for travellers and visitors of Athens city and its wonderful coast known as the Athens Riviera. At the same time our hotel attempts to ease guests into the culture of Lesvos island, offering local delicacies during breakfast and various items that can also be procured at our Souvenir shop. Be sure to take a moment to admire the numerous paintings by Michail Theofilos, a famous folk artist from Lesvos, that adorn the interiors of our hotel.

Minavra Hotel brings you as close to the Athenian coast as possible, sharing its refreshing seaside aura. Situated in a prized spot along the Athens Riviera, we have wonderful sea view rooms on our top floor that allow you to gaze as far as the eye can see. Our second floor offers a delightful stay experience of approachable luxury, characterised by modern design and furnished to match contemporary trends. Our first floor provides more affordable accommodation options which are comfortable, pleasant and value for money. All rooms have a private balcony for enjoying the famous veranda chill habit of Athenians, who adore soaking up the sun of the Attica region.

Furthermore, the commercial center of Glyfada, reached by foot from our hotel, is where you can enjoy endless shopping, wining and dining as well as a big park that kids will love.
